Josh Berman

General Counsel

Joshua Berman joined the Heafey Group in April 2016 as General Counsel, serving in that role to augment the firm’s legal and business capacities in the Miami office. A South Florida native, Mr. Berman graduated cum laude with his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Real Property Development from the University of Miami School of Law and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emory University.

While attending Miami Law, Mr. Berman served as Editor in Chief for Volume 23 of the University of Miami Business Law Review, which received national attention for its focus on cutting edge legal issues. Mr. Berman has been published in law reviews and legal treatises for articles and comments on the new condominium escrow requirements of Florida Chapter 718, Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing in the United States, and the constitutionality of a minimum wage hike.

Mr. Berman is admitted to the Bar for the States of Florida and New York, and possesses his Florida Real Estate Sales Associate license (SL3356870).
