Our Founder

Pierre Heafey, Founder and President

Pierre Heafey is the president and founder of Heafey Group. A graduate in law from the University of Ottawa in 1974, Mr. Heafey practiced law for over 15 years in his own notarial office before dedicating himself full-time to the real estate market.

Since then, Mr. Heafey has developed expertise in the acquisition and turnaround of distressed real estate projects, the purchase and marketing of condominiums, the management of hotels, restaurants, and commercial buildings, as well as numerous other related fields.

1980-1990

The Foundations

More than 2,400 residential units acquired and sold
Landmark acquisition of Habitat 67 in Montreal (1985)
Expansion into the Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Ottawa markets

1990-2000

American Expansion

Acquisition of a mixed-use complex in Miami ($50M, 2.4M sqft)
Diversification into hospitality and dining (St-Hubert Restaurants)
Redevelopment of the prestigious Commodore’s Quay in Ottawa

2000-2010

Consolidation

Partnership with the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ for the acquisition and leasing of an office building. (Place Vincent Massey)
$60M investment for leasehold improvements (Public Services and Procurement Canada).
Acquisition of a prestigious 100-room real estate complex in Miami Beach. (Hilton Bentley/South Beach)

2010-2025

Urban Innovation

New residential standards in Gatineau:
- Le Viu, a 20-storey divided co-ownership condominium with 144 units
- Le We, the first multi-residential rental building in Gatineau with 137 rental units
Acquisition and development of a prestigious 290-room hotel complex in Florida (Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach)
